The EMME (Earthquake Model of Middle East) Project Hazard Module work packages had a joint meeting on 9-11 November 2010 in Istanbul. The aim of the workshop was to evaluate the current status of the seismic catalog and active source database compilation and ground motion prediction modeling studies, to discuss the methodologies adopted in the different work packages and to harmonize the studies conducted by the participating institutes. An initial PSHA input model was also open to discussion.
The meeting also hosted participants from SHARE and GEM, to exchange ideas on the different choices adopted for the implementation of the models as well as for the IT infrastructure used and to seek for harmonization.
