Evaluation of Current Status and Determination of Future Actions

EMME WP3 ground motion prediction equation work package group had a one day meeting in KOERI in order to discuss the current status and determine the next action in WP3. WP3 leader Dr. Sinan Akkar and his team provided information on the current status of each tasks in WP3. Each task has been discussed with each participant and completed and missing parts have been determined. The next steps in WP in terms of deliverables and time table have been discussed and agreed. The topics coved during the meeting can be listed as:

• The compilation of EMME database and metadata improvements: current level
• The choice of candidate GMPEs for testing
• Strategy for testing the GMPEs
• Host-to-Target Relationships: current stage
• Host-to-Target Relationships: availability of data to improve the results
• Host-to-Target Relationships: future tasks and plans
• Site characterization with slope: current stage
• Site characterization with slope: limitations
• Site characterization with slope: future tasks
• The level of information used from WP1 and WP2 for the relevant tasks in WP3.
• Ways to improve interaction
• Expectations from the group to finalize the tasks in WP3
• Allocation of Remaining Tasks and Calendar
