A joint meeting between GEM-EMCA (Earthquake Model for Central Asia) and EMME (Earthquake Model for the Middle East) has been held in ETH-Z on 01-03 February 2011 with the participation of hazard module researchers of the relevant projects. During the meeting representatives of the projects have provided information on the current status of each task. Issues about seismic source zonation, ground motion prediction equations and logic tree applications have been discussed in detail. Parameters to be used in hazard calculations have been discussed and agreed. Additionally collaboration and interaction possibilities among the projects have been evaluated. The next steps and deliverable schedule have been determined.
Additionally opportunities for new collaborations between the different modules of each project have been discussed.
